Welcome! I’m Kent Sammons.

With over a decade of dedicated experience in the classroom and more than eight years specializing in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, I have committed my career to helping students navigate the complexities of history and the social sciences. I hold two degrees, one in History and another in Political Science, and my passion lies in making the humanities accessible, engaging, and deeply relevant to our modern world.

I believe that studying history is about much more than memorizing dates and facts—it is an essential tool for helping young people understand their place in society, develop sharp critical thinking skills, and become analytical writers. I am a dedicated Christian in a position of authority in my church, so that is central to all my beliefs and pedagogy.
